On Friday, June 21 2024, Devimpath’s Executive Director moderated the webinar, “How Does Being A Man or Woman Shape the Capacity to Access Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in Nigeria.” This expository webinar analyzed how gender play a significant role in shaping access to WASH in Nigeria.  The Webinar also provided avenue for the WASH-Gender Research Team to share the research findings and engagements during the WASH-Gender Project.

The WASH-Gender Project is a partnership project of IHE Delft Institute for Water Education under the Water and Development Partnership Programme (2021-2027) funded by the Dutch Government. The project examines environmental and socio-cultural factors of gender-based differences in access to water, sanitation and hygiene in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. It is implemented by a consortium of seven organisations including Devimpath and led by University of Uyo, Nigeria.
