On the 20th June 2024, Devimpath participated in the National Consultative Youth Forum on the Summit of the Future at the UN House hosted by the Inter-Agency Youth Group of the United Nations in Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, the coalition of youth CSOs and networks. The event aims to capture the views of young Nigerians on their expectations for the present and future and inspire collective actions of young people for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Nigeria. Participants called on World Leaders to commit to a future that is sustainable and inclusive ahead of the Summit of the Future in September 2024 in New York. The Summit of the Future aims to enhance cooperation on critical challenges and address gaps in global governance, reaffirm existing commitment including to the SDGs and the United Nations Charter, and move towards a reinvigorated multilateral system that is better positioned to positively impact people’s lives.
