Creating development
pathways for people,
communities and
environment.

Development Impact Pathfinders Initiative (Devimpath) is registered as an Incorporated Trustee with the mission to positively impact the lives of people, improve development pathways for marginalized population, build resilient communities, and contribute to accelerating progress towards a more equitable and sustainable society through skills training, policy advocacy, project implementation and research.

Issues We Address

Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability

We build citizen’s awareness of environmental changes and empower them with knowledge and important skills to take action and participate in development and policymaking. We also support women and young people who have climate smart ideas with basic business knowledge and skills to unlock their business potentials and scale their ideas into viable businesses, creating opportunities for collaborations, partnerships and co-creation of solutions to environmental challenges by organizing stakeholder engagements, exchange programmes, conferences and workshops.

Gender Equality and Girls’ Education

We are drawn to issues that affect women and girls especially with regards to social, cultural and development barriers that prevent them from leading a safe and productive life, accessing opportunities and participating in decision making. Thus, we facilitate workshops to address issues that affect the education, skills, social, economic and environmental well-being of women and girls as well as men and boys in Nigeria and implement programmes to position them for global opportunities.

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)

We implement programmes targeted at starting conversations around WASH, drawing attention to WASH challenges, sharing knowledge of improving sanitation standards, building capacities, amplifying voices and engaging communities on effecting behavioral change towards maintaining high sanitation and hygiene practice, and creating a safe and open defecation-free environment in Nigeria.

Skills Gaps and Youth Unemployment

Based on goal 8 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Devimpath collaborate with local, national and international organizations and private companies to create opportunities for young people to develop new skills, gain experience, prepare for the work space, enhance professionalism and gain knowledge of how organizations are managed through skills development training, mentorships, internships, volunteer positions and leadership development programmes.
